2025 THE NEW VOICE FESTIVAL Season

COMPOSERS PROGRAM
The New Voice Composers Studio, directed by Jake Landau, offers emerging composers the invaluable experience of working directly with singers on their own music. Guided by our composition and vocal faculty, each composer works with a small group of singers to workshop and premiere a two-person scene and a solo art song. Composers additionally attend lectures, and masterclasses; receive private lessons on their music; and attend the rehearsals, stagings, and performances of their two original works.

PERFORMATIVA “AUDITION PREPARATION” FOR SINGERS
A Festival intensive in Arte Scenica (language of the body) e Canto (singing) for Audition preparation in opera and musical theater with Internationally recognized artists Yuri Napoli, Director of Performing Artists at the Zeffirelli Foundation in Italy; and Andrea DelGiudice “The Voice whisperer,” Internationally renowned soprano and New York City vocal master teacher. Singers hone their skills, choose career relevant repertoire in a week- long daily workshop. Our final day is “The audition” for a panel of top industry professionals.

VOICE LESSONS
Technique Study in the “Bel Canto” school of singing, Andrea DelGiudice has developed her specific method embracing genres of Classical, and crossover singing. Her NYC Studio boasts singers from the Metropolitan opera and the stages of Broadway.

ACTING
Acting at the heart of Italian Arte Scenica (language of the body), Singers will adapt a physical language to address the challenges of Audition nerves, building a character, and bringing their strength to the room. Taught by Yuri Napoli.

COACHING
Preparation of audition repertoire and concert works leading to our Festival Performance.

MASTERCLASSES
The New Voice festival features Masterclasses with International Singers, Agents, and Industry Professionals.

ITALIAN LANGUAGE
A conversational based seminar, weaving in fun “scenarios” and diction. Taught by Yuri Napoli of the Zeffirelli Foundation.

RECORDING STUDIO SESSION
Maxstudios.nyc “Manhattan Artists Crossing” hosts our singers and composers in a day professional recordings.

AGENT INDUSTRY PANEL
The audition day with renowned industry professionals. Singers will receive immediate feedback following their audition.

FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE
An evening of Contemporary performance featuring our festival composers works with Chamber ensemble, the music of Jake Landau, and international compositions.
